Macy chose this outfit herself from things she could reach. I was packing for our weekend trip to Houston last week and she opened her armoire and got her boots and then found some pajama bottoms in the hamper (both legs through one hole mind you) and then her shirt inside out. She was obviously very proud of herself:)

Wordless Wednesday (or Thursday:)
A friend of mine does something called Wordless Wednesday, where she posts a random pic from that week. Today is not Wednesday and this post is not wordless, but maybe next week, I will get it right!

Sweet afternoon...
Easter...
OK, so there aren't any sweet family pictures of the four of us dressed up for church, but I do have some of the afternoon egg hunt! I have said this before, but we have the greatest group of neighbors. There are three families that all share a HUGE backyard and we all have kids the same age.

The kiddos...from left- Emma, Macy, Trey, Noah, Alexander and Lucas.
For those of you who are not from south Texas, you are missing out on something called "cascarones". They are cleaned out eggs that have confetti in them and the whole point is to crack them on each other. It is so much fun and I wish I had video of the adults chasing each other around. We went through about 10 dozen! Here is Daddy and Trey getting Macy.
Taylor, the stud!!!
I had to post these pictures of my brother, Taylor doing his first half-ironman a couple of weeks ago. He is such a stud and I am SO proud of him!
A Huge Blessing...
Over the last two and a half years, we have witnessed some extraordinary acts of generosity, but never in our wildest dreams did we ever imagine that we would find ourselves the recipients of such a blessing. We always knew that we would make our permanent home in Houston and HelpingaHero.org is making that a reality. We are building a home in northwest Houston in the community of Bridgeland, and a few weeks ago we had the official groundbreaking. The foundation is going to be poured this week and construction should be completed by the beginning of August.
Trey and Macy's Birthdays...
Trey and Macy recently celebrated their 4th and 2nd birthdays! (I cannot believe it!!) Here are a couple of pictures...
New York, New York!!!
My mom recently celebrated a big birthday, so Dan and I took her to New York to celebrate. (I'm not saying which birthday it was:) We had such a great time just getting to spend time together...and the sights weren't bad either!

A little update...
Well, this has been a crazy week, but just wanted to give you all an update on Dan. He is still doing really well. The bandages and splint that were on his nose fell off so we can finally see what Dr. Thomas did. It looks great! His nose was (and still is) very swollen, but it looks great! Thanks for all the prayers! I will post a picture of him in a week or so, so those of you who haven't seen him in years can see all the things I am talking about. We have had a pretty busy month...a lot of traveling so I will update again soon with some pictures. Trey just turned 4 and Macy turns 2 tomorrow. Also, Dan and I took my mom to New York a couple of weeks ago. We are also building a house in Houston, but that post has to be for another day.

Dan's Home!!!
Well, praise the Lord, 24 hours ago, Dan was still in surgery and now he is home sitting on the couch talking business with his Dad. I knew things were good when I got an email from him this morning from his blackberry. He looks like he got in a bar fight, but his pain is totally controlled! So thank you for all your prayers, they are working and I can't tell you how tangible they are on our side!
